Follow the steps below to upgrade your JReviews Express installation to JReviews. You will not lose any of your existing reviews because the are stored in the database and remain there even after you uninstall the component.
* Uninstall the JReviews Express modules

* Install the JReviews s2framework component

* Go to the JReviews configuration settings and save them. Even if you don't make any changes this is necessary so JReviews will recognize the settings that weren't available with JReviews Express

*Install JReviews modules and community plugins (if you need them). It is not necessary to uninstall JReviews Express modules/plugins, they will be rewritten.
* You will need to setup at least one directory and associate it with your JReviews categories in the category manager. For more information, please refer to the setup articles in the documentation.

Follow the steps below to upgrade your JReviews Express installation to JReviews. You will not lose any of your existing reviews because the are stored in the database and remain there even after you uninstall the component.

  • Uninstall the S2Framework component
  • Uninstall the JReviews Express component
  • Install the S2framework component from JReviews package
  • Install the JReviews component
  • Install JReviews modules and community plugins (if you need them). It is not necessary to uninstall JReviews Express modules/plugins, they will be rewritten.
  • Go to the JReviews configuration settings and save them. Even if you don't make any changes this is necessary so JReviews will recognize the settings that weren't available with JReviews Express
