Upgrading to JReviews 2.7
- Backup your site before doing the upgrade. You can use tools like Akeeba Backup for this purpose.
- If you created the jreviews_overrides folder for customizations, disable the overrides in JReviews Configuration. After the upgrade is completed, you will need to update your customized files or redo the customizations in new JReviews 2.7 files.
- Click on Remote Install & Update link in JReviews administration, check the Updates checkbox and upgrade S2Framework and JReviews.
- Go back to the JReviews remote installer and install the Ratings Migrator add-on. Reload the page, go to the Ratings Migrator add-on and click the Start button. The add-on will update JReviews database tables for compatibility with JReviews 2.. If you don't see the Ratings Migrator add-on appear in the sidebar after installation, then try going to the Add-on Manager, click on the discover tab.
