JReviews 2.4 is no longer compatible with Joomfish. If you are serious about building a multilingual site we recommend taking a look at GTranslate, another Joomla extension. It is being used by other JReviews users with some degree of success. You can provide your feedback about GTranslate in our forum.

JReviews is not a multilingual component and doesn't have any multilingual features itself. It provides some limited multilingual support via Joomfish.

Before you attempt to use Joomfish v2 with JReviews 2.x you must meet the minimum system requirements: you must be running PHP5 with the mysqli extension. You can check this in Joomla => System => PHP Info.

Once you've verified the mysqli extension is enabled you need to go to the Joomla Global Configuration, Server tab and change the database type from mysql to mysqli. Be careful! if mysqli is not enabled your site will go down and you will need to manually edit the Joomla configuration.php file and change the database type back to mysql.

You will find the Joomfish folder inside the JReviews package which contains the zipped content element files for JReviews. You need to extract these files and upload them to the /administrator/components/com_joomfish/content_elements/ folder.

Once you do this you should see the JReviews translation options in the Joomfish admin translation page.
