The Categories Manager is where you connect Joomla Categories with Listing Types and Directories. To do that, click Setup Categories.

  • In this example, we have 3 Categories, and all of them belong to one Section, one Directory, but each of them has its own Listing Type
  • If you have many categories that will use the same Listing Type, select all those categories by holding CTRL key; then select the correct listing type and the directory where you want those categories to belong.
  • Joomla sections are assigned automatically when you choose Categories.
  • All the categories in the same section must be assigned to the same directory.
